Our Story
M Pack Dog Training, LLC is a veteran-owned and family-operated dog training business dedicated to fostering strong, lifelong bonds between dogs and their owners. Founded in October 2019 by Mark E. Mayo Jr., a retired Sergeant First Class from the US Army, M Pack Dog Training began with a simple yet powerful mission: to improve the lives of dogs and their families through compassionate and effective communication.
Mark’s journey into dog training was fueled by a lifelong love for dogs and a deep curiosity about their minds, behaviors, and communication. After serving 14 years in the Army with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and stations in Germany and across Texas, Mark retired early and pursued his passion for dog training. He completed the Canine Master Trainer Course at Starmark Academy School for Dog Trainers, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to train dogs effectively and humanely, setting the foundation for M Pack Dog Training.
What started as a small, home-based operation in Killeen, Texas, quickly grew into a thriving business, known for its personalized training approach and exceptional results. M Pack Dog Training offers a variety of programs to meet the unique needs of each dog and their family. Our most popular program, Pack Puppy Training and our Pack Manners, lay the groundwork for every successful relationship, teaching dogs essential skills and behaviors that last a lifetime.
At M Pack Dog Training, we believe in involving the entire family in the training process. Our Board and Train programs include weekly visits where owners come work alongside their dogs and trainers, ensuring that the bond between them grows stronger with each session. Our training approach is rooted in understanding, patience, and respect, helping dogs and their owners communicate effectively and live cooperatively.
Beyond our foundational programs, we also offer certificate options, including AKC Good Citizen, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, Protection Training, and Public Access training for Service Dogs. We are proud to serve military communities and families across Texas, and our commitment to excellence has earned us the KDH Best in Central Texas Dog Training Award for three consecutive years.
